Garlic Bread

Last week, I shared the recipe for a delicious slow cooker spaghetti bolognese sauce. You can find my recipe for that here. This garlic bread was perfect to go with the spaghetti bolognese!
I had never made garlic bread until a couple of nights ago and let me tell you, it is the easiest EVER! I started by baking some frozen baguettes from Costco. My family has been buying these for a while and we love them! I think they come in a box of about 15-20 frozen baguettes and they cook for 8-9 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. They are perfect to have in the freezer because they are ready so quickly and they have so many great uses (accompaniment for pasta, paninis...)
I let about 2 tablespoons of butter soften in a warm dish.

I minced 1 clove of garlic and stirred it into the butter. I use a spatula when I am mixing anything. This is a trick I learned from a friend many years ago and it makes my baking/cooking process easier! I love using a spatula because while I'm stirring I can be constantly scraping down the sides of my bowl to make sure all of my ingredients are being incorporated evenly.
I chopped up some green onion. I did this part by eye, so I don't know exactly how much green onion I used but I think I added about a teaspoon of chopped green onion.

I mixed in my green onion. I cut my baguettes into halves, then I spread my butter mixture on the baguettes.
I wrapped my garlic bread in tinfoil and put it in the oven for 5-10 minutes and 200 degrees Farenheit.

Garlic Bread
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons softened butter
1 clove minced garlic
~1 teaspoon chopped green onion

Directions:
1. Soften butter by setting it in a warm dish. Mince garlic and stir it into the softened butter.
2. Chop up green onion and stir it into the garlic/butter mixture.
3. Cut baguette into halves and spread garlic butter over the bread. Wrap the garlic bread in tinfoil and cook for 5-10 minutes and 200 degrees farenheit.

Enjoy!
