Friday Favorites: Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving!

Happy Friday, friends! And Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians! We celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada a little earlier than in the States & it's Thanksgiving weekend for us! We sat down to do a little bit of meal planning yesterday and I am so excited for our Sunday night dinner! I will likely have a recap and some fun new recipes to share next week! Okay, let's talk favorites!

1. I have been back on this ice for a month or so and it makes my heart so happy! The arenas have been cold this year! And I know arenas are meant to be cold, but they are colder than usual! I was joking with my coach the other day that I need a little nose warmer - like earmuffs for your nose! My nose has been freezing during skating this year. I start coaching for my skating program in about a week and I am going to have to rally before I can face even more cold arenas! If you're looking for me this winter, you can find me in an arena all bundled up!

2. Did you catch my recap about goat yoga? If you missed it, you can read it HERE. There are lots of funny goat pictures! My Mom has been wanting to do yoga with baby goats for a while so we surprised with a little goat yoga for her birthday last weekend! Baby goats are just scrumptious and we had the best time doing yoga with them!
3. I posted some of the other animals we saw on our goat yoga expedition, but I forgot this precious little guy! This is a week old baby llama! I was nervous as heck because we were warned that the mama llama might spit if she feels threatened, but I just couldn't resist sneaking a peak of this sweet baby llama!
4. This week, I made pumpkin spice muffins for my family to take as snacks in our lunches and they were perfection! They are so tasty and seasonal. As usual, they are gluten free, vegan and refined sugar free but you would never know! They got rave reviews in my house and I've already had requests to make them again next week! If you're interested, you can find the recipe HERE.
5. Last weekend, my family had dinner at a local place called Patate et Persil which is French for Potato & Parsley and it was delightful! It's such a quaint little place with a great ambiance and we all loved our dinners! The Bean said she had the best grilled cheese of her whole life there! They had great regular stuff, but they also offered many options that were allergen friendly (so, gluten free, dairy free, egg free...). I got to have a burger with a gluten free bun and it was spectacular!

  1. Llama yoga here - we call it llamaste. It's so fun and only one goes rogue. He never spits just sometimes will kick. HECK yes on the muffins. Happy Thanksgiving!
