Marinara Sauce & Italian Sausage Pizza

In August, I shared a delicious Stromboli recipe - you can find that recipe HERE. My family just can't stop eating this Stromboli, I have been making it once a week for the entire months of August! Well, we could only eat Stromboli for so many weeks in a row before we need a little bit of a switch up :) So, I made the stromboli almost the exact same way and just didn't role it up - it looks new but it still tastes like the same stromboli we have been loving!
Start with that same dough recipe I shared in the Stromboli recipe. Mix together 1 1/2 - 2 cups of all purpose flour (start with only a 1 cup and add more at the end), 1 1/2 teaspoons of granulated sugar, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, 1 envelope Fleischmann's pizza yeast, 2/3 cup of very warm water, 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Once the ingredients are combined to form a shaggy ball transfer the dough onto a generously floured surface and knead the dough by hand for 8 minutes. Once the dough has been kneaded, roll the dough out to a 10 by 14 inch rectangle. and transfer the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Mix 3/4 cup of marinara with 1/2 teaspoon of dried parsley, 1/2 teaspoon of oregano, 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes and 1/4 teaspoons of basil then top the dough with the marinara sauce.
Take the casing off 3 Italian sausages and break them up as they cooking, set them aside for later use.
Chop up 1 red bell pepper and 1/4 of an onion and let them simmer for about 5 minutes on medium heat.
Chop up some pepperoni.
Then, dress your pizza! On my pizza is 3 chopped up Italian sausages, 1 red bell pepper, 1/4 of an onion, some pepperoni, about 1 1/2 of mozzarella cheese and about 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese. Brush the crusts of the pizza with an egg wash (the part without sauce & toppings).
Bake the pizza for 22 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit, then let it set for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
