Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm always tired when Friday rolls around, but I am especially tired this week because of the time change! I have never ever been affected by the time change, but this year, it got me good! I have just not been able to get used to the time difference - I'm crashing earlier than ever and waking up bright and early and exhausted. I cannot wait for my inner clock to reset and get used to this darn time change! Despite being tired and a half, there were still so many good things this week...

1. I started quilting! I have never had much success sewing, but I started a little quilting project and so far so good! I picked up a little step by step beginner's kit from Joann's Fabrics and I have been loving it! I'm working on a mini quilt right now, just to get used to the technique but I am so excited to put this new skill to use and make a full sized quilt! I think the next year will be full of quilting for me! :)
2. My family got to go to Trader Joe's again last weekend and we grabbed this little Hummus Quartet. Hummus is one of my favorite snacks - I made my own recently! You can find the recipe HERE. I have loved snacking on these different kinds of hummus! There is regular hummus, roasted garlic hummus, tomato basil hummus and spicy hummus all in one container! So fun!
3. I've talked about Wonder before - I love it!! There is so much that I love about this book, but I love most of all that it promotes creating a culture of kindness in our world. This book is totally not suited for 1st graders, but I've been eyeing the kids version of the book called "We're All Wonders." "We're All Wonders" tells the same story but is catered to a younger audience. have any of you read it? Would you recommend it? I would love to hear your thoughts!
4. And since we're talking Wonder, I hope all of my fellow Wonder fans have seen the trailer for the movie coming out next week! The movie comes out on Thursday but I will be in parent teacher interviews that evening until 8:45! Is it too crazy to go see it right after a 12 hour day!? I am so excited to see this movie. The book is one of my all time favorites, I'm hoping the movie is just as good!
5. That is Sam Smith's new album, but as I was scrolling through iTunes the other day, I thought is was Kirk from Gilmore Girls! Ha! I know, I know I'm Gilmore Girls crazy and I am totally willing to fess up to that, but does Sam Smith not look exactly like Kirk!? I mean, spitting image, right!? Kirk is one of my favorite characters on Gilmore Girls - he always cracks me up!

***I'm Linking up with Katie from Cup of Tea, Della from Della Devoted, Tif from Bright on a Budget and Becky from byBMG for High Five for Friday, Andrea from Momfessionals, Narci from Grace and Love blog and Erika from A Little Bit of Everything for Friday Favorites, April from Smidge of This and Christina from Carolina Charm for Five on Friday and Amanda from Meet at the Barre for Friday Favorites.
