Friday Favorites: I love June!

This week was so full of good and as usual, I'm sitting down to recap it all for you today! I have some exciting stuff in the works for next week that I am very much looking forward to sharing, but I'm going to enjoy the weekend and meet you back here on Monday! On to the best parts of this week...

1. Last weekend was the Bean dance show and it was fabulous! You can read more about it HERE. Every year, we get her teachers a little something to thank them for being so good to her all year long! Last I made candy bouquets (more about those HERE) and this year we got them Starbucks gift cards with this little card. I made the cards with the help of my cricut and I am so happy with how they turned out! Stay tuned for a little tutorial next week!
2. Did you see this recipe yesterday? If you missed it, you are definitely going to want to check it out because these sliders were so delicious! What could go wrong when you top a sweet potato and a taco seasoned burger with guacamole, chipotle ranch and bacon? I served these sliders with garlic Parmesan potatoes that you can see in the background of the pictures. One of my friends texted me saying it was a mean tease and just share the recipe already! Hahaha The recipe for the potato wedges is coming! I promise! It was just too much to share in one post!
3. I ordered my new Erin Condren planner early this week!! I took me so long to decide on a design but I finally just bit the bullet and ordered the one pictured above. I loved using my Erin Condren planner this year and I am so excited to get my new one! I have always gone by the school calendar when I order planners. I prefer to have a fresh planner to start the school year, so I always order July-July. But I love that Erin Condren offers so many options. You can really personalize the planner to fit your needs!
4. Some mornings, I make myself breakfast and watch a little TV as I eat. This week as I was watching World of Dance, my dog curled up in my arms! We have the most antisocial dog so I was soaking in all the poochie snuggles I could get! We had some chilly weather this week, but it was so nice to have a warm puppy in my lap while I sipped some tea and ate my breakfast!
5. I snapped this picture as I was on my to have dinner with some of my favorite girls and it was the best mid-week treat! We met at a cute local dinner and it was so good to chat and catch up! Most of my friends I see because we go to school together or we work together, it's rare that I go out with a group of girls to just chill and enjoy each other's company! And on a Wednesday night? Unheard of! But it was perfect!
6. I was on the hunt for a light book recently and this book totally fits the bill! I have never been one to go for stressful books, but especially recently I've been craving lightness. I'm a couple chapters into Ellen DeGeneres' Seriously I'm Kidding and it is so good! It's funny, it's pertinent and it's been the best before bed read all week!

  1. Puppy cuddles are the best! When Nash was a baby baby he used to climb into my lap to cuddle. Now he's going through an independent streak so he likes to lay down NEAR me but not in my lap lol.

    1. Hahaha my dog usually does the same! He always wants to be near but never too close! Thanks for reading, Brianne!
