As this week comes to a close, I am so missing the break! This week was full of all things real life and it was a little shocking for a girl who really strives in PJ's! Still, there were great things about this week and today, I am sharing them all with you! Let's get started...
1. Last Friday, I saw the Greatest Showman. Kind of by accident... I was supposed to see Wonder (yes, again! I really loved it that much!) but it wasn't playing anymore so I ended up seeing The Greatest Showman. I wasn't sure if I would be into it but I loved it! Everything was just so good - the acting, the music, the story... The were so many great parts, but my favorite was at the very end. Right before the credits role, I quote comes up on screen that reads "the noblest art is that of making others happy" by P.T. Barnum.
2. Then, on Saturday my family took all of the Christmas decor down. This was so not a favorite of the the week. Everything feels so bare but I have to say, I love how clean and crisp everything is after all of the decor comes down!
3. On Monday, I started back at school so I switched my lightbox. Now it says Back to Life, Back to Reality. I was partway through the quote when I realized that I didn't have enough 't's! I so did not want to go looking for another quote so I switched the 'to's to the number '2.' This is what my life has been all about this week! No more lounging in PJ's by the fire, it's been all about real adult-ing this week.
4. And I cannot post about this week without talking about the weather! The weather has been wild! Where last week it was freezing. This week has been warm! It was above 0°C yesterday and it will be again today! We are getting all kinds of rain - so weird for Montreal in mid January.
5. On Wednesday, I made these most delicious muffins! I was scrolling through Pinterest and I just kept seeing this recipe so I read a little about and it was all rave reviews so I decided to try it. I was so impressed with the Jordan Marsh blueberry muffins - they're so good! I was so excited about these that when I got home from work & skating I just had to make a gluten free batch. I'll talk about how I made them gluten free next week, but they are just as good!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Monica! I'm so glad I ended up seeing The Greatest Showman - so good!
DeleteI think I need to see the Greatest Showman. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I didn't think I would like La La Land and I did, so I have a feeling it would be similar with this for me. This weather has been so crazy lately! I hope you have a good weekend! Sierra~Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteThe comparison to La La Land is spot on for me! I was apprehensive to see both but In the end I'm really glad I watched them! Thank you for reading, Sierra! Happy Friday :)
DeleteI've been hearing great things about The Greatest Showman. I don't think I've encountered anyone who saw it who didn't like it.
ReplyDeleteThose blueberry muffins look delicious. I look forward to hearing about how you made them gluten-free.
It was really good! If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it! Thank you so much, Angela. I'll be talking about how I made them gluten free on Tuesday :)
