Chocolate Chip Cookies

http://hostthetoast.com/best-chewy-cafe-style-chocolate-chip-cookies/
I never really had a consistent chocolate chip cookie recipe until I made these. Every time I set out to make chocolate chip cookies, I would search for a new recipe and nothing stuck until I tried this recipe! This recipe is from Host the Toast, you can find the original recipe here! These chocolate chip cookies are so good, and they are so easy to whip up for an after dinner treat!
Start by creaming together 3/4 cup of softened butter, 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar in a medium sized mixing bowl.
Mix in 2 beaten eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. *Note: the original recipe calls for 2 teaspoons of vanilla, but I reduced this quantity to half because I found the vanilla flavor strong when I followed the original recipe.
Stir in 2 cups + 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 2 teaspoons of cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 2 cups of chocolate chips. *Note: the original recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips but I increased the to 2 cups to help fill out the cookies a little more (and because the chocolate chips are my favorite part of these cookies). Cover the mixing bowl and allow the dough to set in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place heaping tablespoons of dough about an inch apart along the baking sheet.
Bake the cookies for 12 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit, rotating them half way through their cook time.
Let the cookies set on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before using a spatula to transfer them to a cooling rack. Allow the cookies to cool for about 10 minutes before enjoying!
