If you read my post from Friday, then you've already heard me gush about James Taylor! I went to see a James Taylor tribute band last Thursday evening and it was so good! Since then, I've listened to so much James Taylor! Today, I have a few favorites to share with you!

Music for Monday: The Long Drive
Hello Monday! Often when I am working, I open a tab for Spotify on my computer and I play some quiet music just to have a little background noise. I typically use a pre-existing playlist on Spotify. You know, one that someone else made. On Wednesday, when I was listening, this song came on and it was love at first listen! I've always loved Jason Mraz but I had never heard this one before. I quickly added it on to one of my playlists!

Music for Monday: Camila Cabello
I talked about Camila Cabello just five short months ago, in August when her first singles off of this most recent album came out. Well, on Friday, her whole album came out! I seriously debated staying up until midnight on Thursday night to listen to it but I just couldn't hang! I was exhausted after my first week back at school and I needed to turn in early. When I woke up on Friday morning, I listened to her album as I did my morning blog upkeep & linkups. And today, I'm sharing my favorites with you!

Music for Monday: Taylor Swift
It has been a long time since I've posted on a Monday! I took Christmas and New years off but I'm back to kick off 2018 with a bang! Today, I'm back at school - I'm half bummed about it but half excited to have structure back in my days. I'm off to my classes, but first, music! Taylor Swift's album came out about a month ago and I have been loving it! Today, I am sharing my favorite parts of her album.

Music for Monday: James Taylor
Happy Monday! This past weekend was full of festive Holiday fun! I got through some Christmas baking and wrapping and my family had our Jammy Cocoa Christmas Party on Saturday night! I can't wait to share some of the Christmas fun with you this week (like gingerbread biscotti!) But, today, we're talking music and I'm sharing another one of my favorite Christmas carols!

Music for Monday: Love Came down at Christmas
There are 13 more days until Christmas and only 2 more Mondays until Christmas! These next two weeks are my favorite time of the whole year! I love the anticipation leading up to Christmas. Today, I'm sharing a song that I have been listening to forever! And it never gets old!

Music for Monday: Georgia
My family has been doing yoga together on our back deck this summer - an instructor comes and we get our yoga on! :) Our teacher plays music during yoga and last Wednesday, I spent the entire yoga session asking 'What song is this?' There was so much good music playing! It inspired me to create a new Fall playlist on Spotify! I'm so excited for the next few Music Mondays, because I have great music to share!!

Music for Monday: Kelsea Ballerini
A couple of years ago, I saw a video on Taylor Swift's Instagram of her singing with Kelsea Ballerini. I had no idea who Kelsea Ballerini was, but I love Taylor Swift and the song was super catchy. That summer, while I was on vacation, I found Kelsea Ballerini's album at Target for $5!! I grabbed it and it has been all love ever since! Kelsea Ballerini's album is the very last music that I purchased specifically; I have been using only Spotify since! Here are a few of my favorites....

Music for Monday: Singles You Up
Happy Monday! I am so excited to be writing this post from the beach! I had the most wonderful day at the beach yesterday and I am so excited to do it all over again today! I discovered this song a couple of weeks ago and I have had it on repeat ever since!

Music for Monday: Hozier
Today, I'm talking about Hozier!! I was listening to a Spotify playlist the other day and 'Work Song' came on. I hadn't heard any Hozier in a while, but as soon as I heard 'Work Song,' I remembered how much I love his music and I have been listening to so much Hozier since! Here are a few of my favorites...

Music for Monday: David Gray
I have been all about David Gray lately! I love so much of his music - I especially love it when my crew is outside enjoying a fire on a cool summer evening! Many of his songs have been on repeat lately! Here are a few of my faves...

Music for Monday: Rainbow Connection
Happy July! I heard The Rainbow Connection by Sleeping at Last a few months ago and it instantly became a favorite of mine! My mom used to sing The Rainbow Connection to me when she was putting me to sleep as a baby; so it will always be close to my heart! Until hearing the version by Sleeping at Last, the only other rendition I'd heard was by Kermit the Frog - which is not something I want to listen to on a regular basis! I love many other covers that Sleeping at Last has released but Rainbow Connection is my all time favorite!

Music for Mondays: Good To Be Alive Today
This weekend was so full of goodness! My sweet friend, Hannah came into town at the end of last week and her parents joined the party over the weekend! We got to do a breakout room (so much fun!), go a to a climbing gym, celebrate St-Jean Baptiste (Quebec's national holiday), and I was introduced to some great new songs!! Hannah's parents had just seen Michael Franti in concert and they were raving about it! I have heard a few of his songs before but I am much better versed in Michael Fanti after this weekend!

Music for Mondays: Halsey
Back in January, I shared a guilty pleasure song and I still have moments where I think ah! I should not have put that on the internet! But the purpose of these Music for Monday posts is to share music that I am really listening to! Part of me is so uncomfortable sharing music that conveys a message that I do not support at all. But the other part of me just gives in to the fun of the music. So although I do not support or partake in anything Halsey sings about, I'm giving in to the fun today and sharing 3 songs that I just cannot get enough of!
Well, my mama sang the line "It's the Sunday morning after and baby who the hell are you?"And I remember being so shocked it took me a second to recover and ask her why on earth she would swear. She looked at me in the rear view mirror and said "If you're singing along to a song, you're allowed to swear." We have laughed about this so much since, but I so clearly remember my little self trying to process this rule in my head.
Keep my mama's rule in mind while listening to Halsey, ok? ;) Have a great Monday, sweet readers!
Bad At Love - Halsey
Eyes Closed - Halsey
Heaven in Hiding - Halsey
I should warn that all three of these songs are explicit, but with this warning I want to share one of my very favorite memories...
Once when I was 4 or 5 years old, I was in the car with my mom and she was singing along to Sunday Morning After by Amanda Marshall (Side note: I can't believe I've never posted about Amanda Marshall as a Music for Monday! I love her! I just noted in my planner to do that soon!)
Sunday Morning After - Amanda Marshall
This song is still one of my favorites to this day! :)

Music for Monday: Kris Allen (again!)
Last week, I stumbled upon Kris Allen's most recently released acoustic album and it is all I have listened to since. On a Music for Monday post back in September, I gushed all about Kris Allen (you can find that post HERE) and today, I'm just adding to that collection! Also, I finally got around to changing up my Music for Mondays graphic!! I was never really into the old one and it bothered me every time I used it! So, I'm very excited to be using a more subtle graphic and to be sharing more Kris Allen!!

Music for Mondays: Moana!
On Friday evening, I finally had the opportunity to see Moana! It was such a good movie & the music is especially magnificent! If you have yet to see Disney's latest flick, I highly recommend it for a family movie night - so good!! Here are a few of my favorite songs from the movie...
How Far I'll Go - Auli'i Cravalho
I had heard this song several times before seeing the movie and out of context, it made no sense to me. I was actually reluctant to see the movie just because this song had me so confused! However, once I understood the story, I totally understood this song! And it's beautiful! It is reprised several times throughout the movie and just as good each time!

Music for Monday: The Bean's Dance Rehearsal
The Bean had a dress rehearsal last night for her end of year dance show! I always love hearing the music that was chosen for the show and this year did not disappoint! Today, I thought I would share the fun songs that the Bean shook her groove thing to on stage!
See Me Now - Little Mix

Music for Monday: Sarah Harmer
A couple of weeks ago, I shared a great song by Sarah Harmer called Dandelions and Bullet Holes. Well, since then, all I've done is listen to Sarah Harmer!! So, today I'm sharing some of that I have been loving lately!
I have very clear memories of sitting in the back seat of my parents' car while singing this song at the top of my lungs. This song came out the year I was born, so I may have come out of the womb singing this!
Basement Apartment - Sarah Harmer

Music for Monday: Tracy Chapman
Today, I'm talking about one of my favorite singers of all time!! And I am so excited! Tracy Chapman can do no wrong in my eyes! I'm sharing a few of my favorites in an attempt to not overwhelm, but I really recommend shuffling all of Tracy Chapman's stuff - she's phenomenal!
Baby Can I Hold You - Tracy Chapman
Fast Car - Tracy Chapman
